Genital Herpes Testing
The methods for genital herpes testing is not going to diagnose the HPV venereal wart viruses, and surgical procedures such as cryotherapy are only helpful with removing affected tisssue from HPV.
This test is inaccurate due to the high probability of false negatives and cannot confirm the absence of the virus. Viral cultures are scrapped or aspirated from the lesions that are then sent to the laboratory for culture and examination. There are two methods of diagnostic evaluation for this condition.

A new FDA approved type specific test, glycoprotein G, measures with accuracy comparable to the Western Blot technologies. However, it only identifies HSV exposure and its active existence. A more highly sensitive means is a serology that measures immune response antibodies against the virus.
