The HSV-2 virus in more progressive stages exhibits symptoms of redness, itching, blistering sores, and pain about the reproductive organs, anus, buttocks, and thighs. After direct contact, skin abrasions become portals whereby HSV virus seeks neural cells to attach. Lacking genetic replication codes, it extracts DNA and RNA material from the host cell forcing the host to make new copies.
