What Is Genital Herpes
When defining what is genital herpes and other STDs, it is helpful in knowing there are several strains of herpes, as there are numerous strains of the venereal wart viruses.
The virus can be caused by HSV type 1 and type 2. However, knowing the virus type can be useful, because recurrences tend to be less frequent if the condition is caused by HSV type 1. There can be one episode of the virus or many.
