An oral herpes symptom may indicate that other viruses are present that could be high risk for miscarriage or infertility. The outbreaks tend to repeat several times a year with or without signs. The symptomatic picture of the infection includes cold sores on the mouth, lips, gums, and other facial areas causing discomfort and pain. The virus is acquired through saliva and cannot be cured. This infection is commonly referred to as cold sore or fever blister by the signs that are associated with the condition.
